Personal Biography
Nouran Abadi is a peace and security expert with a passion for advancing the Youth, Peace and Security (YPS) Agenda on the continent. She champions efforts geared towards enhancing meaningful youth engagement in peacebuilding initiatives and capacitating vulnerable youth and women in cross-border areas – equipping them with knowledge and skills for resilience. Nouran further supports post-conflict reconstruction efforts, conflict early warning initiatives, and democratic processes to foster stability across the region. A budding researcher, she has co-authored influential policy briefs on topical issues ranging from YPS to Early Warning.
Bilingual in English and Arabic, Nouran holds a Bachelor’s in Politics and International Relations and a Master’s in Peace and Security Studies. She complements this academic foundation with specialised certifications in AI Governance, Mediation, Climate Change, and 21st Century Management Development.
