Personal Biography
Claudia Masah is a development and peacebuilding expert with over seven years of experience advancing the Youth and Women Peace and Security (YPS) agendas across the continent. She coordinates the Youth/ Women Peace and Security and Research programmes at COMESA focusing on conflict prevention, strategic analysis, and integrating youth and gender responsive approaches into policy and programming. Claudia has led capacity-building and research initiatives, while supporting multi-stakeholder coordination and evidence-based policy processes at national and regional levels.
Her published work contributes to strengthening youth inclusion in peacebuilding and institutional responses to fragility. With fluency in English and French, Claudia holds a Master’s degree in Peace and Security Studies, a Master’s in Political Science and Strategic Studies, a Bachelor’s in Political Science, along with certifications in mediation, research, advocacy, and monitoring and evaluation.
