Personal Biography
Rose Kabangu Malu is a seasoned office coordinator and Programme administration support with over two decades of experience at the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) Secretariat. She has built a distinguished career coordinating regional programmes that advance governance, peace and security, trade, and economic integration across COMESA Member States.
Rose has contributed to a wide range of flagship initiatives, including the Governance Peace and Security Programmes, the Maritime Security (MASE) Programme, The Climate Change Programme and the Economic Partnership Agreement Project with the European Union. Her work has involved close collaboration with governments, regional economic communities, international organisations, and development partners, strengthening institutional capacity and fostering regional cooperation.
Known for her strong organisational, coordination, and diplomatic skills, she has successfully managed complex, multi-country activities, supported high-level policy processes, and facilitated election observation missions. She is also experienced in strategic planning and stakeholder engagement.
Rose holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Leicester (UK), a Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership from the Chartered Management Institute (UK), and a Degree in Organizational Management from Moscow University of Economics and Statistics (Russia Federation). She is fully bilingual in English and French and has achieved a high level of success in her professional career to support the Governance Peace and Security Unit.
